Legal framework as regards product liability and data protection
Business Brunch on 31 March 2017 with Philipp Reusch
The configuration of supply chains within the communication that takes place between machines involves considerations connected with contract law. Event today, companies are forced to create a communication technology basis which implements the legal requirements. At the same time, since the European Parliament’s draft bill on robot law at the very latest, the legislation has been moving towards a special kind of law that we would like to present to you.
Several legally relevant questions arise from this:
- To what requirements does heed need to be paid in the design of contracts with suppliers?
- Are there any requirements relating to the selection of the supplier?
- Who do the the data from the supply chain belong to? Who is allowed to utilise them, and how?
Apart from that, IT security is becoming more and more a field of its own, alongside the consideration of safety in the sense of product safety. And this is particularly the case in the liability law context of the German Product Liability Act (ProdHaftG).
We look forward to discussing this topic with you at our business brunch on 31 March 2017 in Augsburg.
