Early inspection averts trouble later on
Recent judgements relating to the duty to inspect and give notification of defects
An article by Daniel Wuhrmann in the specialist journal QZ (Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit –quality and reliability) (June 2017 issue)
He who carries out his inspection early avoids trouble later on. Particularly in the B2B sector it is important to make a clearly worded contractual agreement on the inspection of incoming goods and to carry it out to the letter. This is more easily said than done: recently there have been two interesting court judgements on the notification of defects.
In his current article in QZ magazine, Daniel Wuhrmann reports on these judgements and explains how companies can ensure that they are well placed in advance.
