The IT security situation in Germany is coming to a head. Companies of all sectors and sizes are affected: Cyber attacks on the German economy cause more than 200 billion euros in damage every year. Ransomware and DDoS attacks in particular pose existential threats to the economy. But in addition to financial damage through data theft, blackmail, industrial espionage and operational disruptions, cyber attacks can also cause accidents, violations of privacy or image damage.
