reuschlaw Whitepaper: Incident response

The IT security situation in Germany is coming to a head. Companies of all sectors and sizes are affected: Cyber attacks on the German economy cause more than 200 billion euros in damage every year. Ransomware and DDoS attacks in particular pose existential threats to the economy. But in addition to financial damage through data theft, blackmail, industrial espionage and operational disruptions, cyber attacks can also cause accidents, violations of privacy or image damage. Companies that neglect cyber security will therefore never be able to exploit the full potential of digitalisation and, in the worst case, they will fail with digitalisation.

In this whitepaper, Stefan Hessel and Christina Kiefer show, among other things, which immediate legal measures must be taken in the event of a cyber attack.
