What preparations do companies need to make?

When the winter is over, some spring cleaning will need to be done in data protection too. It is becoming more and more important for companies to keep up to date with data protection law. So that you don’t lose track, we invite you to come and take a look at the current challenges together with us:

  • What duties requiring action are currently expected of controllers in their dealings with data subjects?
  • What preparations must companies make with a view to forthcoming statutory regulations?
  • Which judgements by the ECJ are currently having an impact on the practical aspects of data protection?
  • Which measures have so far been taken by the supervisory authorities in respect of data processing agencies and what can we expect in 2019?

These and other questions will occupy centre stage at our business brunch on 22 March 2019 in Berlin. We are particularly pleased to have enlisted the active support of Ms Kamp – head of Department I B (legal) under the Officer for the City of Berlin for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BlnBDI). Above all, Ms Kamp will be devoting herself to the way data protection has developed since the ECJ’s Facebook Fanpage judgement, and to the current procedure for the conformity of on-line tracking to the data protection laws.
