Business Brunch – Update DSGVO

Early practical experience and a look ahead

Business brunch with Dr. Carlo Piltz and Kristin Benedikt from the Bavarian State Office for the Supervision of Data Protection (BayLDA) on 30 November 2018 in Nuremberg

The EU General Data Protection Regulation has been applicable since recently. Many companies are still right in the middle of the implementation phase. In some cases, the GDPR has been throwing down some new legal challenges that need to be met in day-to-day business:

  • how are requests for information from data subjects to be handled?
  • does a contract for processing have to be concluded with every service provider?
  • how can information on data processing be issued?
  • what does a contract between joint controllers look like?

Together with you, we would like to discuss these and other practical questions at our business brunch and present you with some best-practice solutions which we have been able to gather from GDPR projects. In addition, we are pleased to have been able to enlist the services of Kristin Benedikt from the BayLDA for a talk on the future ePrivacy Regulation and the topic of ‘telemedia’, including the significant ECJ judgement on Facebook fan pages.
