Legal compliance for batteries and alternative drives
With the goal of climate neutrality and the accompanying electrification, not only the number and applications of industrial battery solutions and electric vehicles have multiplied in recent years. This is also associated with new technical and legal requirements for the entire battery industry. No matter whether it is a question of production and using battery products for the first time or whether batteries are to be given a second life cycle (“2nd life”), both customer requirements and the legal framework conditions are becoming more extensive and complex. The same is true for other alternative drive concepts, such as hydrogen.
In this field, our competence team provides specialist advice on your questions and daily challenges in practice – from the evaluation of the legal requirements to be fulfilled in development and production (including in the areas of product safety and homologation), through questions of permissible distribution channels and necessary approvals, to the drafting of contracts with customers and suppliers, in order to best minimise existing risks, also in the area of (product) liability.
Our competence team advises and supports you on all legal issues relating to batteries and alternative drives.
